The authorities of the city of St. Petersburg made a decision to allocate subsidies to private companies for the implementation of energy saving and energy efficiency programs. State support can also be provided to St. Petersburg companies — window manufacturers that plan to implement similar programs. According to the document on the allocation of subsidies, signed by the head of the Committee for Industrial Policy and Innovation of St. Petersburg Maxim Meiksin, the subsidy will reach 1 million rubles. In addition, the city authorities are ready to allocate up to 3 million rubles for the purchase of energy-saving equipment, as well as for personnel training and management certification. Provided free of charge, the subsidy should not exceed half of the company’s total costs associated with the implementation of energy-saving programs. In accordance with the document drawn up, small businesses with a staff of less than a hundred people and companies that have tax arrears will not be able to count on co-financing.
